Thame hospital takes to the trail for the ‘Stretcher Challenge’

IF you happen to be on the Phoenix Trail, Thame, on Saturday, May 10, you may spot teams of people dressed in all sorts of weird and wonderful ‘get ups’ carrying a patient on a stretcher. But, instead of giving them a cautious wide berth, slap them on the back and give them some money, because its all for a very good cause.

scannappealThe Stretcher Challenge for Scannappeal, which aims to raise money towards Digital Breast Screening equipment, has now become an anuual event and Thame Community Hospital is this year sporting a team.

The hospital’s team Name is ‘The Angel Medics of Thame Community Hospital’ and consists of Gill Norris, Helen Facey, Pam Bristow, Anita Clayton, Charlene Hennessey and Mary Dix.

DETAILS: Stretcher Challenge – Saturday, May 10, 2014, 9.30am, starts at Phoenix Trail at Towersey. Supporters are very welcome as the team will receive extra points.
