Thame Head Teacher To Retire
THE Head teacher of Lord Williams’s school, Thame, has announced that he will be leaving the school.
Announcing his decision in the school’s News Letter, Michael Spencer said that it was with mixed feelings that he was leaving.
“I feel very privileged to have worked in such a special school. My career in education has spanned 37 years, 17 as Headteacher, and it is true to say that I have enjoyed my time at Lord Williamss’s School more than any other period in my career. I do feel that I am working with a hugely talented and committed team of teachers and support staff and a great bunch of young people.
The recruitment of a replacement for Michael Spencer is already underway and the Governors would like to hear from parents and local people about their views of the skills and talents that are required by a Head of a large, Commununity school.
