Inquest opened into M40 Pedestrian’s death

AN inquest into the death of a Thame man who was killed on the M40, has been opened and adjourned until January, 22, 2015.
Ivan Elford, 40, of Pearce Way, Thame, who was a civil engineer, died between junctions 8a at Thame and 9 for Bicester, on August 4.
Oxfordshire Coroner, Darren Salter, reading from the police report of the incident at the Coroner’s Court yesterday, said that Mr Elford stepped in front of an approaching lorry.
The initial cause of death is thought to be multiple injuries.
