Taste of Thame is an exciting annual event that takes place in Thame Town Centre. The aim of Taste of Thame, as well as providing a great event for residents, is to promote the independent and diverse food and drink offering available within Thame and the local area.

Taste of Thame aims to celebrate the amazing food and drink businesses on our doorstep at the same time as encouraging visitors to explore venues in the town centre and learn more about what they have to offer. The event will feature a trail map that encourages participants to move between venues in Thame Town Centre, experiencing new tastes, attending behind the scenes workshops and watching live demonstrations.

Volunteer with Taste of Thame

  • Website updates: you need to be able to use or willing to learn how to use Word Press. Training provided.
  • PR: able to write press releases in the run-up to and beyond the event. May also be asked to speak to local radio.
  • Graphic design. Design posters and flyers to a strict timeline in order to meet deadlines. Currently done using Canva, but could be more than this
  • Event logistics – short-term role during event itself – helping to deliver and set up equipment and gather it back in.
  • Fundraising – sourcing sponsors and raising prizes for the raffle.

Experience in any of the above roles is preferable but the main criteria is enthusiasm and the time to do the work
