A NEW Martial Arts talent is emerging from a local club.
The British Sport Karate League held its second event
in Dudley on Sunday (April 30), and Chinnor kung-Fu and Kickboxing student, Phil Keavy, along with senior instructor, Duncan Elliott, attended.
It is the first season for Phil and he has shown in
training, and his first competition, a real talent for
the sport. He now needs experience – which he certainly got on Sunday, winning a second place!
During the quarter final, Phil remained focused and, fighting to the end, drew level, beating his opponent in the sudden death.
Instructor, Duncan Elliott said: “Phil is learning all the time and by next season he should be looking to dominate his division.”
Chinnor Kung-Fu & Kickboxing club will next be in
action on May 14.
Anyone wishing to know more about the club and
training, can contact Sifu, Duncan Eliott on 07803 630067.
