Festival Success in Need of Beds
THE amazing success of Towersey Village Festival will continue over the August Bank Holiday weekend for its 42nd year, but only if the organisers are able to find more bed space for visiting artists.
For many years the people of Towersey and local B&Bs have provided accommodation for artists from all over the UK, Europe and beyond who visit the Festival. However an increase in artists and other circumstances have led to a serious bed shortage in recent years.
If anyone in the Thame and Towersey area is able to offer a bed for a Festival artist for one to five nights during the August Bank Holiday weekend the Festival Organisers would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Jess or Louise on 01629 827017.
Festival Director Steve Heap said, ?In recent years Towersey Village Festival has contributed tens of thousands of pounds to local organisations, individual musicians and generally encouraged involvement in the arts from its funds. A good deal of this work is now in jeopardy for the simple shortage of artist accommodation. We hope local people will be able to help.?
