CHILTON FEST – a new music festival, will kick-off its first year in the village of Chilton in early September.
With some advice from the legendary Michael (Glastonbury) Eavis, it was decided to get the ball rolling with a one day charity event on Saturday, September 2,benefiting the Richard Wheeler Memorial – supporting the British Heart Foundation and the Chilton Playground Scheme.

One of the festival organisers, Bev Mauger, said: “Festivals seem to be cropping up all over the place this year. We figured what the hell, there should be no limit on the opportunities for the Great British Music-lover to come out and enjoy themselves”.
“In keeping with the down-to-earth vibe of this new festival, the main stage will feature both signed and unsigned acts in equal measure. Music plays from 2pm to midnight and all genres and tastes will be catered for.
“Not only will there be great music from 2pm, but there will be great food and drink and many activities for the whole family to enjoy.
“Chilton fest are looking for an army of Helpers and Punters to come and enjoy the first year of what is likely to build into one of the more special events in the UK Summer Music calendar.
