THE Thame Store Net scheme, the system whereby shops can speak to each other and the police, has saved just under £1000 worth of stock being stolen through shopliftings.
The first batch of offenders since the scheme was launched, have been placed on the Shop Watch scheme and are now banned from all the Thame shops involved. This, say the Thame Community Policing team in its latest newsletter, has reduced the amount of calls for Anti-Social Behaviour and shopliftings from the town.
