Council To Consult On Sustainable Development Strategy

OXFORDSHIRE County Council is to consult the public and other stakeholders about its future strategy for Sustainable Development in the county.
The Strategy will set out the Council’s policies and actions for implementing the following government programmes:
Securing the Future ? UK sustainable development strategy.
UK Climate Change Programme.
Procuring the Future ? National Action Plan for Sustainable Procurement.

The strategy will also set out how the Council will meet its statutory obligations on nature conservation and bio-diversity.

The date for the consultation to begin is yet to be announced.
