Appeal After Rape In Great Milton (Status: Press Release)

THE Police are appealing for witnesses following the report of a rape in Great Milton yesterday afternoon (31/10).
At around 5pm, an 18-year-old woman was walking past the graveyard of St Mary?s Church. She has reported to police that she was grabbed by a man who took her into the graveyard, then raped her.

The woman describes the man as over 6ft tall, wearing a dark hooded jumper, 25-30 years old with an English accent.

The woman has been left extremely shaken by the incident.

Police have cordoned off the scene and are searching the area.

A road check will be carried out this afternoon between 4pm and 6pm to ask drivers if they saw anything suspicious yesterday afternoon.

Det Sgt Alan Clements said: ?We are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything at around 5pm yesterday afternoon in the area.
