Driver escapes injury in lorry fire
A lorry driver had a lucky escape on Sunday evening (04/08) when his lorry caught fire on the M40.
The fire service were called to the blazing articulated lorry, by then parked on the northbound hard shoulder between junctions 8a and 9, just before 10pm.
The driver alerted the fire service and four crews from Wheatley, Thame, Bicester and the Slade in Oxford attended.
It is thought the cause of the fire was accidental.
