02/09/11….Grant gets Thame’s Neighbourhood Plan off to a flying start

SUCCESS in acquiring a grant under the Neighbourhood Planning Front Runners scheme means that a Neighbourhood Plan for Thame will get off to a flying start.

Thame Town Council feels that a Neighbourhood Plan is essential to influence the shape of the town over the next 20+ years and has appointed a Planning and Urban Design company to work with the community in preparing a plan for Thame. Helen Stewart, Town Clerk said: ?Thame Town Council is a very ambitious and extremely competent council that readily takes on the challenges facing the community it serves. Its Neighbourhood Plan will provide the strategic foundations that will serve Thame for the next 20+ years. The plan will assist in providing the town with a sustainable development programme whilst retaining its historic character.?
