04/09/11………Murder inquiry launched – Thame – UPDATE
UP-DATE 10.50am – There is currently a police cordon around a motor vehicle in the town centre car park.
THAMES Valley Police has launched a murder inquiry following an incident at a house in Thame, Oxfordshire, in the early hours of this morning (4/9).
Police were called to a house in Ireton Court at 2.21am and discovered two women who had sustained fatal injuries. A third woman has been taken to hospital for treatment, her condition is not considered to be life-threatening.
A man was arrested by officers in Thame Market Place shortly after the incident on suspicion of murder and he has been taken to Abingdon police station for questioning. Nobody else is being sought for questioning at this time.
The investigation is in its very early stages and a further statement will be issued in due course.
