11/10/11….Funding for rural businesses

SMALL rural businesses and farms in South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse areas are being invited to a special event for them to find out about support available to help them grow, and support their local economy.

The event is being held on Thursday, October 20, between 4.15pm and 6.30pm at Denman College, Marcham.

The Local Action Network Event will bring together rural businesses looking to develop projects which would provide a boost to the local area.

The event will give them an opportunity to find out about the Southern Oxfordshire LEADER Programme and the funding which is available, as well as hear about how the LEADER Programme has helped projects throughout the area.

The evening will provide details of how the scheme has already helped businesses in the area and guest speakers will be on hand to talk about how the funding has specifically helped their projects. Discussions will reflect on the programme?s activities since its launch in 2009, and the priorities for the funding that is still to be committed.
