09/02/12..Prison for Haddenham man in organised crime gang
SIX men who were members of an organised crime gang have today (9/3), been sentenced to a total of 22 years in prison for drugs offences. All six men pleaded guilty to offences at previous hearings, following an investigation, code named Operation Hedge, carried out by the Thames Valley Police Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU).
In March 2011, 22 warrants were carried out across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire under Op Hedge, aimed at identifying and bringing to justice members of an organised crime group responsible for distributing class A drugs.
A total of 17 people were arrested, of which four were released with no further action, three were cautioned and a total of 10 were charged*, including the six being sentenced today.
