19/04/13…. Big discount for Thame residents for Towersey Festival

THE rsidents of Thame are being offered a recession-slapping 25% discount off the price of tickets for this year’s Towersey Festival!

Taking place in the nearby village of Towersey from 22-26 August 2013, the annual festival has been a major event in the Oxfordshire social calendar for 49 years.

This year, headline acts include Mercury Prize nominated The Unthanks (pictured), the chart-topping Blockheads, live favourites Show Of Hands, Bellowhead’s Spiers and Boden and a specially reformed Home Service, featuring War Horse songsmith John Tams.

There’s also appearances from father and daughter folk music legends Martin Carthy and Eliza Carthy, Swiss Cajun punks Mama Rosin, global brass band Orkestra del Sol, Gypsy jazz combo Mani
