16/08/13 Craig Revel-Horwood to judge ‘Strictly Florence’
HELP celebrate 25 years of Hospice care with Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity’s ‘Strictly Florence’ dance extravaganza on Sunday, October 6, at the Waterside Theatre, Aylesbury.
Couples will go head-to-head in an ultimate Strictly Come Dancing-style ‘dance-off’ to win the coveted Strictly Florence crown.
Twelve lucky couples, including Sarah Whitmore who lived in Thame until recently, have now been selected to take part and over six weeks (starting from Sunday, August 25) the couples will learn two dances which they will then showcase in the final dancing competition.
Each dancing duo will be put through their paces, courtesy of Graham and Carol of local dance school GB Dance, and are tasked with learning a Cha Cha Cha and a Tango.
But it won’t be easy for them, as each pair will have to perform in front of a live audience and VIP judging panel to include Mr Strictly himself Craig Revel-Horwood! Joining Craig will be Chinnor-based celebrity chef, writer and presenter Lotte Duncan, Scott Cole, dance choreographer and brother of Brendan Cole, and ex professional dancer Jean Orchard, who once studied at the infamous Italia Conti Stage school in London under the tuition of previous Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips. Mix96 Drivetime presenter Katy Butler, will be adding her support by taking on the glamorous role of ‘Tess Daly’ for the evening.
Tickets are on sale now from Aylesbury Waterside Theatre Box Office (0844 871 7607) or by visiting the website HERE
