THAME’S Health Centre has been manfully carrying on over the past twelve months, providing medical care for its 15,000 patients, during the inevitable disruption of a period of complete refurbishment.
To celebrate the completion of the work, the Rycote Practice and Trinity Health are holding an open evening on Thursday, March 20, for patients to see for themselves the final results which the centre hopes will improve the service offered there for both patients and the medical staff.
Once the door are opened at 5:45pm, and refreshments have been shared, Dr James Weir & Dr Charles Chubb will welcome everyone and give a summary of the redevlopment work at 6pm. Then, Rycote Practice Patient Group Chair, Andy Jinman and Trinity Health Patient Group Chair, Sandra Davison, will talk about The Importance of Good Healthcare facilities in Thame – A patient View.
The highlight of the evening will be the long anticipated, judging of the Rycote Practice Photo Competition, judged by Wendy Court (PPG – Patient Participation Group member) and a panel of judges. The official opening of the newly refurbished health centre will then be carried out by the Mayor of Thame, Peter Lambert, before groups of visitors will be taken on a tour of the building in informal groups by staff of both Practices.
Anyone who would like to attend should contact: katy.clarke1@nhs.net by Wednesday, March 19.
