Police appeal: Distraction burglary, Chinnor

THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a distraction burglary in Chinnor. At about 1.45pm yesterday (13/6) a man entered a house in Elderdene to talk to the occupant about fixing his roof. He stole a quantity of cash before leaving in a blue car.
The offender was white, of slim build, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 11ins, with brown medium length hair and was unshaven.
Det Con Jonathan Axford, from Abingdon Force CID, said: “I would like to appeal for any witnesses who saw a man or vehicle matching these descriptions in the area at around the time of the incident to speak to police.
“If any residents were approached in the area by a man asking to do work on their house I would also like to speak to them.”
