Wanted – Young Business People
YOUNG business people needed for an opportunity of a lifetime ? Rotary Group Study Exchange to Australia, October 2005.
The Rotary Club of Thame are looking to sponsor young business men and woman for a Rotary Group Study Exchange to Canberra, Australia in October 2005 for a period of between 4 and 5 weeks. This is an opportunity of a lifetime and involves no cost to either employee or employer. The GSE programme provides a unique opportunity for four young business and professional men and women , aged between 25 and 35, to explore and develop their vocations, experience and leadership skills in a foreign country. To qualify for the generous grant involved, candidates must work or reside in Berkshire, Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshire. There are many benefits to the employer as the GSE scheme is widely recognised as the best management training that money CAN?T buy! It provides an excellent opportunity to develop top performing up and coming young leaders and helps those destined for the top to gain valuable international experience. The personal development of the employee cannot fail to benefit the employer.
The GSE programme has become popular enough for some employers to actively encourage their staff onto it. This applies in particular when senior management has already benefited from having a GSE Team Member.
The next GSE programme for the Thames Valley Rotary District in October 2005 is to the Australian Rotary District of which Canberra is the centre. This region with the Australian capital city Canberra has an economy, industry and cultural development that is so varied that candidates proposed for selection by the Rotary District Board are invited from the widest range of professions and businesses.
All the direct costs of each GSE visit are borne entirely by Rotary International. Companies and organisations are thoroughly recommended to promote participation of members of their staff in this unique opportunity.
Interviews of all potential candidates will take place during June so the deadline for the submission of completed applications is May 31st 2005.
