Appeal for witnesses after fatal M40 crash
THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collison on the M40 near Thame, in which a pensioner died.
At about 3pm today (2/3) Roads tPolicing officers attended reports of a serious road traffic collision on the northbound M40 between Junction 8a and 9, involving a single vehicle, a Volvo OX90.
The motorway was closed for collision investigation work to be carried out and was reopened at 5.45pm this evening.
A male in his 70’s was declared dead at the scene. A female in her 70’s was taken to the JR2 hospital in Oxford by air ambulance with serious injuries.
