Three year-old approached in suspicious circumstances
THAMES Valley Police is investigating a suspicious incident in Thame earlier today, when a three-year-old child was approached by two adults.
The Force received a report that a woman and man approached and spoke to a three-year-old girl in Phoenix Trail behind Van Diemans Road at about 10.30am today (16/7).
The witness described the man and woman’s behaviour as suspicious and reported the incident to police.
The woman is white, aged in her thirties, with dark brown hair in ponytail. She was wearing jeans. According to a witness, the woman spoke with a foreign accent, possibly Eastern European.
The man was dressed all in black with a hooded top, with the hood up.
Investigating officer, Sgt 5959 Hoskin based at Thame police station, said: “If anyone has any information about the incident then please visit your local police station or call 101.
“We are keeping an open mind about the incident, and although suspicious, no offences have been carried out.
“Thame Neighbourhood Policing Team will be carrying out patrols in the area, so if you have any questions please approach them.
