IN recognition of retiring Head teacher, Mr Alan Haigh’s long and dedicated service of 23 years, a new building at John Hampden Primary School in Thame, which currently houses the Year two children, has been named The Haigh Building.

This follows the tradition of the last two Headteachers after which the Jackson and Vernon halls are named.

The ceremony was officiated by the school’s incoming Headteacher, Mr Hankey. Proceedings were rounded off by a rousing rendition of the school anthem sung by children and staff.
