Nominate your ‘grot-spot’ for a right royal clean up

THE organisers of Tidy Thame 2016 and Moreton Muck-Out are asking residents to nominate a ‘grot-spot’ in Thame to be cleared up during the annual Thame Tidy event, and support the ant-litter scheme to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Thame Tidy is spearheading the event across the town on the weekend of March 5 and 6, as part of a nationwide clean-up campaign to clear up the town in preparation for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday, which is officially celebrated in June.

Independent Mortgae Solutions (RGB) - R1Thame residents can nominate their local ‘grot-spots’ by taking a photograph and sending it to admin@thame4me.co.uk, to be included with Lee Park footpaths, Ireton Court, the Phoenix Trail and the Old Crendon Road which have already been nominated.

Go along to Racquets Fitness Centre (behind the Cattlemarket carpark in North Street) on your preferred day, sometime between 10am and 2pm to join in. Bring your gardening gloves and gardening equipment if you can, and you will be given high visibility vests and waste bags on the day.
For further information, see Tidy Thame Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/thametidy or call Rosemary on 07731 452180.

Old Crendon Bridge is definitely in need of some work, even if just the road was cleared it would be so much more attractive.
