In Memory Of Chloe
A bench has been placed at the Thame Skate Park in memory of a Thame teenager who died after being hit by a car.
Last September, 14 year-old Chloe Owens, a pupil of Lord Williams’s school in Thame, was hit by a car as she crossed the road near a roundabout on the Thame by-pass.
Chloe’s grandparents, Mr and Mrs Binnie, have had a bench installed at the skate park at Church Farm, because Chloe loved to go there with her friends. Thame Town Council have said that it hopes that young people using the skate park will, as well as making use of the bench, respect Chloe?s memory by treating it appropriately.
One of Chloe’s friends, some of whom are pictured taking a break from skate boarding in today’s warm and sultry weather, said: “Most of the people that come up here are nice people and wouldn’t damage something that ins memory of one of us. It’s our park and we’ll make sure nothing happens to Chloe’s seat.”
Chloe?s grandmother, Mrs C Binnie, raised the money for the bench by running a sponsored slim.
