Tribute To ‘Passionate Horsewoman’ Clare
THE family of Clare Clarke, who died in a road collision after falling from her horse, have today issued the following tribute to her.
“Clare comes from a large loving family and will be sorely missed by so many. She leaves behind three young children, Kourtney 13, Dion seven and Alysha four, as well as husband Darren.
“She was born in Henley and moved to Chalgrove in Oxfordshire when she was eleven, where she grew up. She moved to Thame six years ago.
“Clare was a qualified nail technician and had built up her own business working as a freelancer. In addition to this, she was due to start a new job working for Unilever on August 29.
“Clare was a passionate horsewoman and could have had a career on the equestrian circuit. She loved horses and loved spending time with them.
“Clare was a very sociable and outgoing person who had many, many friends. She loved life and was very popular. She was a strong and confident person who always thought of others. Anybody who knew or met Clare knew how wonderful she was. She had a fantastic personality and always made people laugh. She was kind and considerate and always looked out for people – no matter what.
“Above all Clare was a fantastic mum and wife. She loved spending quality time with her family. She adored her three children Kourtney, Dion and Alysha and was the most caring and beautiful wife any man could ask for.
“She will be forever loved and dearly missed by her friends and family.”
Clare, aged 33, of Youens Drive in Thame, died on Sunday (27/8), when she was trown from her horse after it had been startled by an on-coming lorry.
Her 13 year-old daughter, Kourtney, who is a pupil at Lord Williams’s school, was out riding with her mother and witnessed the accident.
