FOLLOWING the tragic death of a 4 year-old boy, knocked down by a car in Thame, Stefan Cork, the boy’s father, has raised thousands of pounds in tribute to his son.
Barnaby Cork died last Saturday (December 10), shortly after the incident, despite the efforts of air ambulance and other paramedics who were quickly on the scene, in the car park outside Thame Leisure Centre. On his JustGiving page, Stefan says: “Our precious Barnaby was our world, our everything. He was taken from us at such a tender age; we are so so heartbroken to say goodbye before any of us are ready.
“We would give anything to have Barnaby back in the safe and loving arms of our family.
“We were so lucky to have such amazing doctors at hand in an instant. Ella and I will forever be indebted for the speed, skill and courage of all these great people on the scene fighting with Barnaby, including the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
“Only this summer we were raising money for the air ambulance and never for one second thought that we would be calling on them in our own moment of need .”
In just a few days, Stefan’s page has raised over £16,000 to support the Thames Valley Air Ambulance which many people don’t realise depends on charitable contributions to be able to carry out its work.
