THE Conservative Party has won the seat of Henley in the General Election, with John Howell retaining the seat with a .6% decrease in his share of the vote compared to the last election in 2015. The turnout for the Henley constituency was 76.3% which compares to 70.3% for the 2015 election.
The official 2017 figures show that both the Labour and Lib Dems made gains, while the Green Party and UKIP reduced their share of the vote:
GREEN PARTY 1,864 3.3% (2015 – 3,815)
LIB DEMS 8,485 14.9% (2015 – 6,205)
RADICAL PARTY 392 0.7% N/A
CONSERVATIVE 33,749 59.1% (2015 – 32,292)
LABOUR 11,455 20.1% (2015 – 6,917)
UKIP 1,154 2.0% (2015 – 6,007)
