YESTERDAY’S report about a planning application for more sheltered housing at Pearce Court, in Thame, was incorrect.
Planniing for the 14 new dwellings has infact already been granted and building work has begun. The planning application being considered tonight (06/03) by Thame Town Council’s planning committee is an amendment to incorporate 13 additional car parking spaces.
According to the Thame and District Housing Association today, the two bedrooom apartments will in fact be sold to retired people over 60 years-old, as a ‘Scheme Managed Service’ similar to Sharman Beer Court, in Thame, and are expected to be completed by Christmas.
The association is asking the people of Thame to suggest a name for the development. Suggestions can be submitted via email to: editor@thame.net.
