M40 Southbound Crash – Update- Arrest Made

A man has been arrested after this morning’s five-vehicle crash, on the M40 near Beaconsfield, in which one person has died and several others injured.
An articulated lorry, two vans and two cars were involved in the crash between Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross at around 8.40am.
The motorway has now been closed southbound between junctions 4 and 1A, to help ease the congestion on the diverted A40 routes.
This accident comes only four days after three people died in a collision on the M40, near High Wycombe.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Sgt Steve Madoc-Jones atAmersham police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don?t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
