Last Few Days For New Homes Consultation
THAME residents are reminded that they have only a few days left to tell South Oxfordshire District Council where they think new housing and other services should be provided in the district for the next few years.
Your respoonses will help plan for the 10,000 new houses, which the government, through the South East Plan, requires to be built in South Oxfordshire by 2026.
The council has identified a number of potential areas for new housing in around the towns of Didcot, Henley, Thame and Wallingford and has also identified thirteen larger and more sustainable villages, which could accommodate more housing. The district council would like to hear your views on which of these areas of land and which towns and villages are the most suitable.
Over the next 18 months, South Oxfordshire District Council will develop plans and polices for the future. The Core Strategy
will identify the important issues and areas for new development.
The closing date for comments is FEBRUARY 1, 2008.
