NEIGHBOURHOOD Specialist Officer, PC Gareth Morley, gives this month?s Haddenham update:
To introduce myself I am Gareth Morley and in this newsletter I will be reporting current news from your neighbourhood police team.

I am the Neighbourhood Specialist Officer (NSO) for the Haddenham with Long Crendon and Brill district neighbourhood.

You are all invited to attend a public meeting on Wednesday 14 May at 7.30pm in the Walter Rose Room in Haddenham. We are eager to meet residents, community leaders and any other residents interested in helping to resolve issues within their communities. From this public meeting a Neighbourhood Action Group will be established to tackle local issues. If you want to help tackle issues that concern you in your area please contact us.

A drugs warrant was executed by officers at an address in Long Crendon under Operation Falcon recently. During the search officers found an amount of cannabis.

It is well recognised that community involvement plays a huge part in the fight against drugs and the crime it can generate, and we and partner agencies consider each and every resident a key player in the fight against drugs and drug-related crime.

We want each and every resident to join us on this campaign for the good of everyone. This is not just about providing us with information and reporting crime, but also about passing on the message to others and ensuring everyone ? including the police and their partners ? are doing all they can to hit dealers and offenders where it hurts most and provide treatment opportunities to those who wish to kick their habit.

If you know have any information about drugs in your area phone police on 0845 8 505 505 and tell us about it. If you don?t want to leave your name call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I am asking all residents in the area to be vigilant after a recent increase in burglaries. We are patrolling the area with the assistance of additional police officers from Wendover police station but we need your help to catch those responsible. If you see something suspicious, phone police on 0845 8 505 505 and tell us about it.

Overall, though crime in the Thames Valley is continuing to fall by 9.4% thanks to the help of local communities. Notable falls include burglary, down 9.3%, criminal damage is down 10.9%, car crime is down 11.9% and robbery is down 10.5%.

We are always looking for ways to improve our customer service to all the people in the neighbourhood. For this reason we have launched a new email address for Waddesdon police station:

waddesdonstation@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk

Why not visit us at Waddesdon police station? The station?s opening hours are:
