INTERNATIONAL swimming record holder, Simon Burnett, from Tetsworth, has been selected to swim for Britain in Beijing, in the 4x100m freestyle relay team along with Adam Brown.
Simon lived in Chinnor as a child, later moving to Tetsworth, from where he attended Lord Williams’s school.
He failed to qualify for any of the individual swimming events and is awaiting the results of blood tests in an attempt to find out if there is any underlying reason while he was under par.
