Restaurant winners to leave Thame under cloud
THE couple that have run ‘The Thatch’ in Thame since becoming the winners of the televised TV programme, The Restaurant, are to leave town.
Jane and Jeremy Hooper have announced that they will be returning to their home in Barnstaple, Devon, in the wake of a report in The Caterer magazine that the head chef employed to mentor Jeremy, was sacked.

The restaurant is, however, to remain open.
The couple, an ex marine and a trainee teacher, have been away from the restaurant since the birth of their baby son in March.
Raymond Blanc, who backed the Hoopers financially, has so far made no official comment about the Hooper’s alleged departure.
A follow up film of the Hooper’s post-winning experience has been filmed since October, and was due to be shown in early summer.
The second series of The Restaurant is about to start filming at The Green Dragon in Haddenham.
