GREG Boult, Thame United?s centre back who was stretchered off during the game on Saturday against Holyport with a suspected fractured ankle/leg, has been diagnosed with ankle ligament damage.

Early indications are that he should only be out of action for a few weeks and will be available for the final run in of the season in April. Greg brings a level of composure to players around him and reads the game really well so we are really pleased that the damage is not as serious as originally thought Frank Thompson said, we hope to have him back in action with us as soon as possible. Thame?s other two long term injuries, last years Club captain Lee Thompson is on the road to recovery after suffering a double compound fracture against Penn at the end of last season and has missed this entire campaign and this years Club Captain Dave Hocking is still suffering from knee ligament damage and is likely to be out of action for a while yet.

It?s a good job that we have built up a very strong squad and been able to cope with these losses, we do hope to have both Lee and Dave back for next season though, said Thompson.
