06/08/10….Thame’s old folk are Evergreen

SOME of Thame’s most senior citizens received a welcome present today from the Deputy Mayor of Thame, Donald Butler.

Thame Evergreen Social Club, which meets every two weeks at Lee Court, is currently having their get-togethers at Pearce Court while the heating is being replaced at their usual haunt.

This afternoon, they enjoyed the tales and recollections of Member of the Inner Magic Circle and old friend of Tommy Cooper, David Bell, before a spot of bingo and a visit from the deputy mayor, bearing gifts.
