09/09/10…Businesses beware of fire safety booklet scam

OXFORDSHIRE County Council?s Fire and Rescue Service and Trading Standards have today been informed by a member of the local business community that a cold caller reporting to be from the Fire Service is operating in our area.

The caller who gave his name as John, stated that ?he was producing a booklet for the fire safety department to thank them for their services and asking local businesses to put a personal thank you message in it.?
