15/06/12…URGENT UPDATE: Thame annual Charity Duck Race POSTPONED

THIS EVENT has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 15th, 2012. The organisers, Thame Round Table, regretfully had to postpone it from this Sunday (17/06) due to the river being very high and running fast, after the recent heavy and continuous rain.

THE Thame annual Duck Race, due to take place on Sunday, (June 17), may have to be cancelled due the very high level of the river, following weeks of above average rain fall.

Thame Round Table, who organises the Duck Race every year, say that they will make a decision on Saturday afternoon, and make an announcement at the Carnival fete sometime during the afternoon.

This year the plan is to release over 2,000 yellow plastic ducks into the river, by the old Long Crendon Road bridge at Priest End, a sight which is not to be missed.
