09/08/13 Driver guilty of drink-driving after colliding with building
A 47-year-old woman has been convicted of drink-driving after her BMW car collided with a building in Thame Park Road.
Trelawney Jane Hill, aged 47, of Chinnor Road, Watlington, had pleaded not guilty to one count of drink-driving.
However, following a trial at Oxford Magistrates’ Court, which concluded on Wednesday, August 7, Hill was found guilty of the offence, which occurred on the evening of December 14, last year (2012).
Following the collision, the defendant gave a positive breath test of 70ug in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35ug/100ml of breath.
At Oxford Magistrates’ Court, Hill was disqualified from motoring for 16 months, which can be reduced to 12 months if the defendant completes a rehabilitation course before June 2014.
