Pancakes are usually sweet – Shrove Tuesday traditionally being the last opportunity to use up ingredients such as eggs and sugar before a period of fasting during Lent (the 40 days leading up to Easter).
However, many of us will now go and buy ingredients specifically for pancakes ahead of Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day. So why not try something a bit different this year?
