Vicary Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy based in Haddenham which serves Thame and other surrounding areas.
In March 2023 work was completed to overhaul archaic processes and systems. This made the pharmacy more efficient, accurate and patient-centered. They’ve received fantastic positive feedback since the changes and have the capacity to extend this service to more of the local population.
It is unfortunate that due to financial pressures many pharmacies are closing down. Over 800 pharmacies have closed their doors since 2015. The phrase “use it or lose it” still rings true. In this modern day and age many people are taking their business online, however online pharmacies cannot
provide essential services which are required to be carried out face to face. The more we support online pharmacies the more likely we lose our traditional bricks and mortar pharmacies, which in turn means travelling further for face to face services such as Covid vaccinations.
As an independent local pharmacy, Vicary Pharmacy like to give back to the community and provides employment to the local population.
From Vicary Pharmacy: “We recently made donations to the Rotary Club in Haddenham and Thame. Giving back to the local community is not something big multiples and online pharmacies will do, but to keep our head above water we need the support of all the local population. We currently service patients in Thame and want to make the population of Thame aware that we have the capacity to take on all the patients from Boots East Street, which is closing on 22nd March. We offer a free delivery service in Thame and surrounding areas.“

There is a dedicated pharmacist, Sunil who is there 5 days a week. Sunil is a travel vaccination expert, an independent prescriber and a UTI specialist. He is friendly, approachable and knowledgeable.
