The Phoenix Trail

The Phoenix Trail links the two market towns of Thame and Princes Risborough, providing an ideal traffic-free ride or walk for all the family. There is also the opportunity to admire the magnificent views of the nearby Chiltern Hills and spot red kites, the impressive birds of prey that thrive in the area.

Maintainence

There will be a temporary closure and diversion along the Phoenix Trail (Route 5) from Monday 16th to Friday 27th October 2023, so those that usually use the track might want to find an alternative route for those estimated 2 weeks. There are posters along to track to help notify those that use the track (Poster in detail below)

Sustrans will be undertaking maintenance work on a section of the Phoenix Trail between Towersey and Penn Farm. This is remedial work to the surfacing completed last year.
During these works the route will be closed to users and a signed diversion put in place.

Thank you to Sam Willmore, Supporter Care Officer, Fundraising & Supporter Engagement from Sustrans, for confirming this information and providing us with the poster image.
