We are very lucky to have such a great variety of Charities and Community Groups in Thame – but they wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the work of their volunteers. These groups support the young, the elderly and everyone in between, so come and show your support for your community.

Many of the Charities and Community Groups need more volunteers – so Thame.net is working in collaboration with 21st Century Thame to hold a Volunteer Fair.

We’re inviting you to come and speak to one of the great Charities or Community Groups to find the right volunteering opportunity for you.

Some of the following are to be confirmed but here’s who we’re expecting you to come and meet:

  • Thame-Sinaia Friendship Association
  • Duke of Edinburgh via Lord Williams School
  • Thame Players Theatre Company
  • Music in the Park Thame
  • Thames Valley Partnership
  • 21st Century Thame – who support projects such as ThameTrees, The Thame Carnival, Taste of Thame, Thame Art Crawl and more
  • 1st Thame Scout Group
  • Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity
  • Thame Youth Projects Group
  • Thame Girl Guiding
  • Thame Senior Friendship Centre
  • Phoenix Community Club
  • Lea Park Residents Association
  • and more to confirm!

Where and when?

The Volunteer Fair is being held at Racquets Fitness Centre (behind the Cattle Market on North Street) on 11th September between 12 and 3. See you there!
